Duquesne Light Eases Transition to Driving Electric with Online EV Guide Resource
New Online EV Guide Offers Interactive Tools, Helps Customers Make Informed EV Decisions
PITTSBURGH – Offering a variety of interactive tools and personalized recommendations, Duquesne Light’s newly-launched online EV Guide makes selecting the right electric vehicle (EV) easier for customers of varying lifestyles.
“Making the switch to an electric vehicle can be intimidating for some,” said Sarah Olexsak, Manager, Transportation Electrification, Duquesne Light. “Our new EV Guide eases the transition to driving electric by giving our customers the online tools and resources they need to be confident about their EV purchase.”
DLC’s interactive EV Guide gives customers the ability to browse electric vehicles, discover purchase incentives, locate nearby charging stations, and get answers to frequently asked questions all in one place online.
With 30+ EV models available regionally, and even more nationally, customers have a lot of options. To find the most suitable model for each individual’s lifestyle, the new resource allows customers to sort through the options based on personalized criteria, such as daily commute length, budget, car features, and home charging availability. Additionally, customers can compare the cost-savings of each model to similar gas vehicles.
Up-to-date listings of rebates, incentives, and other special offers are also available on the EV Guide site, including DLC’s $60 bill credit, $3,500 Nissan LEAF rebate, and other soon-to-be announced customer incentives on the purchase of an EV. After purchasing an EV, the guide continues to assist customers with answers to common questions and an interactive map that displays nearby charging stations.
The online EV Guide launch is a part of DLC’s larger effort to make driving electric easier for its customers by helping them make informed decisions, offering incentives for EV purchases, and increasing charging infrastructure throughout the region. Most recently, DLC partnered with the Pittsburgh Parking Authority to bring eight new EV charging stations to the Smithfield-Liberty and Third Avenue parking garages in Downtown Pittsburgh, with similar partnerships and projects on the horizon.
From saving on regular maintenance and fuel costs to benefiting from unparalleled performance, there are many reasons to drive electric. Explore the benefits and stay up to date on DLC’s ongoing EV initiatives at DuquesneLight.com/ElectricVehicles.
